Inspiration and Compassion

In the second post at Boho Sparkle, I thought I would like to talk about some of my inspiration and what drives me to creating this collection. As far back as I can remember, 1960s and 70s fashion always inspired me. As I grew older and began buying my own clothes, the free spirited vibe to Boho apparel lured me in. In the early 2000’s boho style was at its height in popularity and although some declare the trend is "dead", every so often it seems like boho jewelry, accessories and apparel have endured through the decades. There is a certain timeless nature in its aesthetic and a socially unconventional style to boho chic. Although boho style is popular across the globe, every boho girl is unique in my personal opinion.

I have many missions I would like to accomplish with this boutique, however in this blog I will discuss my first. In addition to my love for boho fashion, I have also always been drawn to everything mermaids. There seemed to be a melding of the two in recent years, therefore I decided to launch a boho mermaid collection. I searched across the globe for unique mermaid pieces that every mermaid lover or boho lover could dive into! Most importantly though, the true passion behind this collection is for an organization called “The Ocean Cleanup,” which is the largest cleanup in history. According to their website The Ocean Cleanup develops advanced technologies to rid the world's oceans of plastic. A full-scale deployment of our systems is estimated to clean up 50 % of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch every 5 years. Part of every purchase in the mermaid collection will go directly to this cause and together we can make the world more beautiful and the lives of all the fishies and mermaids safer ;)

Keep on shining out there Boho Beauties 💕
